Château Saint-Pierre de Méjans, a 12th‑century priory in Puyvert, Provence, runs an Artist‑in‑Residence program open to any artist or writer, beginner or experienced, across all disciplines. Residencies last 1‑3 weeks and can be scheduled between November and March. Participants are provided with a private one‑bedroom apartment equipped with a kitchen and living room, and have access to the château’s common rooms, garden, heated swimming pool, pétanque court, bicycles, and extensive olive and vine grounds. The stay costs €300 per week, covering lodging and use of facilities; meals and travel are not included. Applications are accepted year‑round via an online Google Form, and applicants are notified of the decision by the residency committee. The program welcomes solo applicants (up to one artist per residency) and can accommodate a spouse or partner for an additional €300 per week. At the end of the stay, residents may organize a reading or exhibition, and are encouraged to donate a work to the château’s permanent collection. The residency is managed by the château owners, Jean‑Marc and Wendy Gobbi, who provide local support and guidance.
