transmediale is calling for applications for its 2027 residency programme, which offers a two‑month hybrid residency (mid‑May to mid‑July 2027) combining remote work and an on‑site month in Berlin. The programme supports artists, researchers and practitioners with a monthly stipend, housing support (self‑organised) and travel/accommodation for the transmediale festival in January 2027. Residents will work in the transmediale studio in Berlin‑Wedding, present their work publicly during the on‑site month, and may be featured in an online publication. The call includes three specific residencies: a Digital Art Residency (open to Swiss‑based artists), a transmediale × ARKO Residency (open to Korean artists), and the Vilém Flusser Residency for Artistic Research (open to Berlin‑based artists).
