Informazioni su Questa Opportunità
The Ceramic Artists in Research + Practice (C•A•R•P) Residency is Jamestown Arts Center’s dedicated six‑month program for ceramic artists. Two sessions run each year: April – September (applications decided in late February) and October – March (applications decided in late August). Applicants may choose a full shelf ($775) or a half shelf ($600) for studio storage; work‑exchange opportunities can reduce costs. Residents receive studio space, in‑house glazing materials, firing fees, and access to open‑studio hours (24‑27 hours per week). Participants must work independently, understand ceramic fundamentals, and agree to studio policies, including a limit of two bags of clay per month and size restrictions (max 20" height/diameter). Only one residency per calendar year is allowed, and production pottery is not permitted. Applicants submit a statement of goals and 3‑5 images of recent work, and must attend a studio walkthrough with the manager. Scholarships and payment plans are available for eligible artists.
