The Center for Photographic Art (CPA) announces the 2026 International Juried Exhibition (IJE), an open competition for living photographers aged 18 and over, worldwide, working in any still photographic medium. Submissions are accepted from July 1 to October 1, 2026 via the online CaFE system. Early submission rates run until August 27, followed by regular rates until the deadline. Entry fees range from $45 (CPA members) to $75 (non‑members) for three images, with a $10 charge for each additional image up to a maximum of 20. Selected works will be exhibited in CPA’s historic gallery in Carmel, California from December 6, 2026 to January 3, 2027, and also featured in an online gallery and exhibition catalog. The juror for 2026 is Lisa Volpe, Curator of Photography at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Awards include First Place $2,500, Second Place $1,000, Third Place $500, four Merit Awards of $250 each, the Salon Jane Award $1,000, and a People’s Choice Award of $150 plus CPA gear. Artists retain ownership of their work, with CPA taking a 40 % commission on any sales. Additional requirements include specific framing, size, and shipping guidelines, and a signed Exhibitor Agreement. Membership discounts are available for CPA members.

Open to all living photographers worldwide, age 18+, working in still photographic media (no video). Photographs previously exhibited at CPA are not eligible.
