Informazioni su Questa Opportunità
The City of Vancouver’s Public Art Program, in partnership with the Vancouver Public Library, invites xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) artists or artist teams to create and execute a site‑specific artwork to be suspended from the high ceiling of the atrium and central staircase at the new Oakridge Community Centre. The commission includes an artist fee of $35,000 (CAD) and the opportunity to integrate an accompanying vinyl design on the exterior of the three‑storey staircase, if desired. The selected artist(s) will be responsible for design, fabrication, and installation, working closely with the City’s public‑art staff and the library to ensure the work aligns with the building’s architectural intent and community values. Applications must be submitted by midnight Pacific Standard Time on September 7, 2026. No application fee is required. The call is limited to Musqueam‑affiliated artists or teams, reflecting the City’s commitment to Indigenous cultural visibility and collaboration.
