Masterclass di ATLAS LAB “Quando la storia diventa un libro”

Reminders Photography Stronghold, in partnership with independent publisher BLOW UP PRESS, invites artists developing long‑term photographic or visual storytelling projects to apply for the ATLAS LAB Masterclass “When the Story Becomes a Book”. The intensive programme runs in February 2027 in two Japanese cities (Kyoto and Tokyo) and consists of a three‑day introductory session, three self‑directed work days, and a three‑day concluding session, followed by a public presentation. Participants will bring a project that is already beyond the idea stage and receive editorial, design and publishing guidance, work on a dummy or prototype, and receive peer feedback. No stipend is offered; participants cover travel, accommodation and meals. The masterclass is open to all ages, nationalities and experience levels, provided the applicant has a substantial body of material and a clear vision for a photobook or artist‑book. Application deadline is 15 September 2026 (23:59 JST).

Three‑day intensive sessions, three self‑directed work days, mentorship from BLOW UP PRESS and RPS curator, feedback on project development, creation of a dummy or prototype, public presentation of work.

Open to all ages, nationalities and experience levels; applicants must have an ongoing photobook/artist‑book project with substantial material beyond the initial idea stage.
