Creative Australia’s Arts Projects for Individuals and Groups grant provides between $10,000 and $50,000 to support a wide variety of artistic activities, including creation of new work, professional development, research, collaborations, promotion, and community engagement. Applications close on Tuesday 1 September 2026 at 3 pm (AEST). Successful applicants receive funding for the project period from 7 December 2026 to December 2028. Eligible applicants are Australian citizens or permanent residents who are practising artists or arts workers. A separate First Nations panel is available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants, who must be individuals or groups comprised solely of First Nations people. The grant covers project costs such as artist fees, travel, materials, accessibility support, and other legitimate expenses. Applications are submitted through the online Application Management System after registration. No application fee is required.

You can only submit one application to each closing date for Arts Projects for Individuals and Groups. Only individuals and groups may apply to this category. You must be an Australian citizen or an Australian permanent resident, and a practicing artist or arts professional. Applications for funding to the First Nations panel must come from First Nations individuals or groups only.
