The Arts Council Digital Artist in Residence programme, delivered in partnership with the Centre for Creative Technologies at the University of Galway, is a six‑month residency for mid‑career and established digital artists based in the Republic of Ireland. The residency offers an €18,000 artist fee paid in two instalments, dedicated workspace and shared studio access, administrative support, and access to the university’s technical infrastructure. Applicants are expected to develop their own practice while engaging with students, staff, and the wider creative community, dedicating up to four hours per week to outreach and knowledge‑sharing activities. The programme supports a wide range of digital art practices, including AI, data, software, video, web, VR, AR, and other emerging technologies. The application window opens on 14 August 2026 and closes on 11 September 2026. Successful applicants will begin their residency between 1 November 2026 and 1 January 2027, completing it by the end of June 2027.
