Informazioni su Questa Opportunità

The 9th John Moores Painting Prize (China) is an international competition that invites artists and creators aged 16 and older who live and work in China to submit works of contemporary painting and ink art. The call is open until 22 September 2026 and is part of the long‑standing John Moores Painting Prize, a prestigious UK competition founded by Sir John Moores. The Chinese edition aims to discover emerging talent and bring Chinese contemporary painting to the global stage. Submissions must be two‑dimensional, no thicker than 0.5 m, and may be hung on a wall. Each artist may submit only one piece. The jury, announced on the site, will review all entries. Winners will be exhibited at the National Gallery Liverpool during the 2027 Liverpool Biennale. The first‑prize winner receives a solo exhibition in the UK for one to two weeks, a one‑month residency in the UK, and participation in a group exhibition. The four honourable‑mention winners and the Contemporary Ink Painting Prize winner receive a one‑month residency in the UK and participation in a group exhibition. The competition is free to enter and offers residency, exhibition, and networking opportunities.
