21° Concorso Internazionale di Jazz di Bucarest 2027

The Bucharest International Jazz Competition, organized by jmEvents, will take place from 2 to 10 July 2027 in Bucharest, Romania. Open to instrumentalists and vocalists of all nationalities, the competition accepts bands of up to six musicians and individual performers for the Jam Session section. Applicants must be born after 1 July 1982 (age limit up to 45 years), although the band leader may be older. The application requires digital documents (forms, audio recordings, photos, passport copies, technical rider) submitted via TransferNow. A non‑refundable registration fee of 140 EUR per group must be paid by bank transfer. The competition consists of three rounds (selection, semi‑finals, finals) with performances in concert halls and unconventional spaces. Winners receive a total prize pool of 10 000 EUR (Grand Prize 1 500 EUR, Best Band 500 EUR, Best Vocalist 500 EUR, Best Jam Session 250 EUR, plus concert engagements). Finalists are provided with a professional sound technician, sound system, backline equipment, and free accommodation for the final stage; semifinalists can request discounted accommodation. The deadline for applications is 1 March 2027 (23:59).
