Residenza artistica “Art & Ecology” 2027 a Mustarinda
Informazioni su Questa Opportunità
Mustarinda is an art and ecology residency located in an old school building on the edge of the Paljakka old‑growth forest in Hyrynsalmi, Finland. The programme brings together visual artists, writers, musicians, and scientists to explore ecological questions through creative practice. For the 2027 cycle the residency offers a 2–4 week stay during which participants receive housing and meals provided by the Mustarinda Association. Residents share communal spaces such as kitchen, dining room, library, sauna and a nature trail, and are encouraged to contribute to house tasks like cleaning, gardening or snow work. Applicants are expected to develop a project that engages with the thematic focus on the preparation of the Vaara‑Kainuu Art National Park and broader environmental concerns. The call is open to individual artists and interdisciplinary groups, with no explicit nationality restrictions. Applications are submitted online via the Mustarinda website; the deadline is 30 November 2026. There is no application fee. Selected residents benefit from accommodation, meals, and the unique natural setting of the boreal forest, but no monetary stipend is offered.
