Subvención inicial «Duckling»

The Duckling Seed Grant is a monthly production grant offered by Duckling Media ApS, a Copenhagen-based community media platform dedicated to documentary storytelling. The grant provides up to €1,300 to emerging journalists, photographers, filmmakers, and multimedia storytellers who are members of the Duckling community. It is designed to remove financial barriers to the first stages of documentary projects, covering research, travel, equipment, production expenses, or simply time to focus on the work. Recipients are expected to complete their projects within six months and, in return, publish the finished work on Duckling and share a short reflection on their process. The selection is made monthly by the Duckling core team, with up to three projects awarded each month. The application process is streamlined: applicants must be Duckling members and submit a brief questionnaire. The grant is open to all emerging artists regardless of nationality, with no age or residency restrictions. The program offers funding, editorial feedback, and promotion on Duckling and partner platforms. The next deadline is August 31 2026, with applications accepted on a rolling monthly basis.
