Acerca de Esta Oportunidad

The Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants program, administered by the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) in partnership with the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, offers one‑time emergency grants of up to $5,000 to artists working in visual arts, digital/electronic arts, video/film, or choreography. The grants are intended for unexpected medical, dental, or mental‑health emergencies that occurred within the past six months. Applicants must be 21 years or older, reside in the United States (including D.C., Tribal Nations, and U.S. territories), and have an average adjusted gross income of $80,000 or less (or $160,000 for joint filers) based on the two most recent tax returns. Eligible artists must demonstrate recent and sustained public activity in their discipline over the past five years and cannot be enrolled in a degree‑seeking program or have received a Rauschenberg Emergency Grant within the last five years. Applications for Cycle 39 open on 2026‑10‑20 and close on 2026‑11‑17; notifications are sent on 2026‑12‑23. The program runs on a recurring bi‑monthly cycle through at least June 2029. Grants are paid via direct deposit to the artist and do not require work samples. Detailed application guidelines are available in a PDF, and submissions are made through Submittable.
