The Architectural Studies Program at Amherst College, housed in the Department of Art and the History of Art, invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Lecturer in Architectural Studies. The appointment begins on July 1 2026 with an initial three-year term, renewable for an additional three years and potentially leading to a senior lecturer position. The successful candidate will teach the equivalent of five courses per academic year, including introductory and intermediate architectural design studios, and may offer additional seminars aligned with their expertise. Responsibilities also include advising senior capstone and honors students and participating in the Five‑College Architectural Studies Council. Applicants must hold an M.Arch (NAAB‑accredited) degree by the start date and submit an application letter, CV, sample syllabus, a digital portfolio of no more than twenty pages, and three references via Interfolio. Review of applications begins October 15 2025 and will continue until the position is filled. Salary ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 with a competitive benefits package.
