¡GO Native! Concurso de arte floral
Gecko Environment Council
Acerca de Esta Oportunidad
The GO Native! Floral ART Competition, hosted by the Gecko Environment Council, invites amateur and aspiring artists of all ages to create original floral artworks that celebrate Australia’s native flora. Entries are accepted from 1 August to 4 September 2026, with the competition weekend held on 12–13 September at Gecko House in Currumbin. Participants may enter one of four categories: Spirit of the Forest, Wearable Floral Art, Native Ikebana, or Fauna Fun with Flowers (the latter limited to artists aged 8–12). All entries are judged by a professional panel and winners receive prizes across categories. The competition offers a public display of works at Gecko House, along with native plant sales, floral demonstrations, workshops, and a stroll through the council’s native community garden. There is no application fee, and the competition is open to all amateur and aspiring artists, with no residency or stipend provided. Interested artists can submit their work through the provided Humanitix links and review the terms and conditions via the PDF on the Gecko website.
