Corsicana Artist and Writer Residency
Fecha Límite: September 1, 2026

Acerca de Esta Oportunidad

The Corsicana Artist and Writer Residency provides two‑month, fully funded studio residencies for two artists and one writer per term in a historic 1890s Odd Fellows Lodge located in downtown Corsicana, Texas, about fifty miles south of Dallas. Residents receive private, furnished studios (2,400 sq ft for artists, 600 sq ft for the writer), lodging with personal bathrooms, Wi‑Fi, and access to equipment such as digital projectors, an intaglio printing press, and a wood shop. The program includes transportation to and from Dallas‑Love Field and Dallas‑Fort Worth International airports, weekly cleaning services, and professional documentation of the residents’ work. Applicants must be artists or writers of international, U.S., or Texas origin, submit a portfolio (5 works for artists, 2 writing samples for writers), and pay a $30 application fee plus a non‑refundable $200 administration fee upon acceptance. The residency prioritizes studio work, with a mid‑term professional visit and a final presentation. Eligibility excludes ceramic, fiberglass, aerosol, and certain sound‑based practices without prior approval, and families or pets are not accommodated. Applications are open until September 1, 2026, with notifications by October 1, 2026. The residency runs in three two‑month terms each year (Winter, Spring, Fall), making it a recurring annual opportunity.
