The Elizabeth Lane Oliver Center for the Arts presents the Nancy Ingersoll Foster Artist in Residence Program, a 2‑week retreat for visual artists in any medium. Applicants must be 18 years or older, demonstrate excellence in their field, and show a strong commitment to arts education and community engagement. Residents will be available from September 5 to September 19, 2026. The residency takes place at the Parsons Center for Arts and Sciences in Lake Ann, Michigan, where participants receive private lodging, access to a large studio, and a range of specialized workspaces (ceramics, painting, printmaking, photography, woodworking). In return, residents must provide an educational workshop, lecture, or demonstration, share promotional materials, and donate a small work to the Oliver Art Center. Upon completion, artists receive a $500 honorarium, an exhibition slot at the Oliver Art Center, and promotion through the center’s web, email, and social media channels. The application deadline is July 27, 2026, and the process is free of charge.
