The Wijhat (Destinations) programme, run by Culture Resource (Mawred), provides mobility grants of up to €7,000 to individual artists or groups from Arab countries. The grant covers travel tickets, visa costs, accommodation, internal transportation and a partial contribution to living expenses for the duration of the activity. Applicants may be visual artists, performers, writers, musicians, curators or any cultural actor seeking to participate in fairs, residencies, festivals, workshops, conferences or other artistic events. The programme runs three rounds per year; Round 3 accepts submissions until 17 September 2026 (16:00 Beirut time). After the deadline, applications are screened and evaluated by an independent jury, with grantees announced at the end of October. Eligibility requires the applicant to be a citizen or resident of an Arab country, the travel must involve at least one Arab destination, and groups may apply as a single entity. Applicants under 18 need parental consent. Previous Wijhat recipients must wait 16 months before re‑applying. Applications are submitted online via the Mawred portal (https://apply.mawred.org/), in Arabic (with required English fields). The grant is disbursed in two installments and must be used within 12 months of announcement.
