Sobre Esta Oportunidade

The WORTHLESSTUDIOS Photographer in Residence (PIR) program is a unique one‑month residency that takes place inside a 1973 Airstream trailer converted into a professional‑grade darkroom. Analog photographers and photography‑based artists receive exclusive access to the mobile darkroom for four weeks, along with a $1,500 artist stipend, darkroom chemistry, film, photo paper, two free workshops on scanning and digital printing by Brooklyn PrintWorks, and press‑packet materials. Residents may host a public program and are encouraged to create site‑specific work documenting a community or place of their choosing. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; the program is based in New York City, United States. The residency is open to artists with a strong background in analog darkroom photography; applicants must not be enrolled in an art‑related degree program, and international artists need a valid work visa or residency status. The call does not charge an application fee.
