VIA Art Fund’s Artistic Production Grant supports the creation of new visual art commissions that are exhibited in the public realm or non‑traditional venues. Grants range from $25,000 to $100,000 and are awarded twice a year (Fall and Spring cycles). The Spring 2027 cycle is currently open for Letters of Inquiry (LOI) until 5 November 2026, with full applications invited by 15 December 2026 and due 25 January 2027. Eligible applicants include individual artists, nonprofit arts organizations, and cultural institutions that have a confirmed exhibition venue or presenting partner. Projects must be new commissions, presented outside museum or gallery walls, and must be open to the public. Applicants must provide a two‑page project description, artist statement, budget, timeline, CV/website, and a letter of support from the venue. Nonprofit organizations must submit proof of status. Previous grantees must observe a three‑year waiting period. The grant is administered from VIA Art Fund’s office in New York, USA. No application fee is required. Successful projects receive funding, production support, and assistance with public engagement and potential gifting to U.S. public collections.
