The UnMute roster, developed by Global Local and Continental Drifts in partnership with the Musicians’ Union and the charity Attitude Is Everything, is the UK’s first music roster dedicated exclusively to disabled artists. The roster aims to increase representation and improve access to live performance opportunities by offering artists a platform that includes booking representation, access rider support, and professional development. Artists who identify as disabled or have a long-term health condition are invited to apply. The application process is open 24/7 via an online portal or email, and applicants must provide their artist name, a link to their work (video, audio, or PDF), and a contact email. The roster team reviews applications continuously, with the first selection taking place in early 2025 and subsequent rounds ongoing. Selected artists will receive a welcome pack and personalised support to navigate bookings and access requirements. The initiative is funded by Arts Council England and operates on a non‑exclusive basis, meaning artists can still be booked independently. The roster does not provide a monetary stipend but offers significant professional exposure and support for disabled musicians across the UK festival and event circuit.
