Residência Artística Tracey Emin (TEAR)

The Tracey Emin Artist Residency (TEAR) is a 15‑month, free studio‑based residency for painters in Margate, UK, run by the Tracey Emin Foundation. The programme provides a dedicated studio within TKE Studios, regular group critique sessions, and a three‑month exhibition curated by Tracey Emin at the end of the residency. Applicants are required to be painters working with physical materials, aged 21 or over, with no gallery representation during the residency. The programme does not provide accommodation or bursaries, and it is not visa‑sponsored; applicants must be able to legally live and work in the UK for the full duration. The application window opens on 21 July 2026 and closes on 4 September 2026, 5 pm. The application requires a portfolio of 10‑15 images, a short artist biography, CV, two videos (introduction and sketchbook), and a completed online form. TEAR encourages applications from under‑represented groups, including disabled artists and those from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.
