The Exchange – Bolsa de Estudos para Intercâmbio Cultural KwaYa Austrália

The Exchange is a two‑week, scholarship‑supported experience in Uganda designed for emerging Australian creatives who are community‑oriented and work in music, choir leadership, songwriting, youth facilitation, creative education or community arts. Participants travel in a small group to engage with local artists, schools and communities through workshops, collaborative music making, storytelling and shared meals. The program aims to foster genuine connections, inspire new ideas, and enable participants to bring fresh perspectives back to their own communities in Australia. While an expression of interest does not guarantee selection, successful applicants may receive scholarship support that can cover international flights, accommodation, meals, in‑country transport and workshop costs. The next edition is planned for September/October 2027, with dates and locations to be confirmed once funding outcomes are known. Applications are currently being accepted on a rolling basis.
