Concurso de Composição da Tapeçaria de Bayeux
British Museum
Sobre Esta Oportunidade
The Bayeux Tapestry Composition Competition is a call for composers based in the United Kingdom, targeting amateur, emerging and young (under 18) creators. Participants are asked to write a new unaccompanied choral piece inspired by the historic Bayeux Tapestry, which will be performed by the British Museum Choir in front of the tapestry during its exhibition in 2027. The competition aims to foster artistic development and public engagement with medieval heritage. Submissions are free of charge and must be received by 31 January 2027. Selected works will be showcased at the British Museum, offering composers valuable exposure and the experience of having their music performed by a professional choir.
