Residência em Têxteis

The Ós Residency, hosted by the Icelandic Textile Center in Blönduós, Iceland, invites artists and scholars working in the textile field (fiber art, weaving, surface and fashion design) to apply for residencies lasting from one to three months. Applications are accepted year‑round on a rolling basis, except for December, and are reviewed continuously. Applicants submit a short CV, a project description, and two images of their work via the online application form. The residency is self‑funded; a standard fee of approximately €28‑30 per day (or monthly rates ranging from €850 to €1,200 depending on season and room type) covers accommodation, utilities, WiFi, access to all work facilities, a visit to the Textile Museum, and basic linens. Additional costs such as food, travel, and materials are the artist’s responsibility. The centre provides a loom studio, main studio, dye studio, and a Textile Lab equipped with digital looms. Housing options include private rooms, riverside rooms, and shared houses, with fees varying by season.
