Market Gallery is accepting applications for its 2026‑2027 Studio Project Residencies, providing two 10‑day funded residencies that run flexibly across a month in either December 2026 or January 2027. Residents receive an artist fee of £1,415, a residency production budget of £700, a sharing event fee of £212 and a sharing event production budget of £380. The programme includes full access to Market Gallery’s studio space and equipment, 24/7 studio access, mentoring from the Artist Committee, and a public sharing of outcomes in February or March 2027. An access budget is also available to support caregiving costs such as childcare. The call is open to emerging artists based in Glasgow, with one residency specifically reserved for artists with caregiving responsibilities. Artist collectives may apply, sharing the fees, and applicants must not be enrolled as students during the residency period. The residency aims to support artists who have not recently received significant opportunities and welcomes re‑applications. Applications open on 2 Oct 2026 and close at 23:59 on 25 Oct 2026. Selected artists will be notified by 30 Oct 2026. The application is submitted via Google Forms, with an optional Equal Opportunities form. The residency is wheelchair‑accessible and gender‑neutral facilities are provided.
