The Gasworks Hong Kong Diaspora Artist Studio Bursary is a three‑year support programme (4 January 2027 – 3 January 2030) offering a private 25 m² studio with 24/7 access, heating, Wi‑Fi and communal facilities to an early‑ or mid‑career contemporary visual artist who identifies with the Hong Kong diaspora and is based in Greater London. In addition to the studio space, the selected artist receives an annual materials stipend of £1,000 and regular invitations to Gasworks’ exhibitions, open studios, networking events and professional development activities. Applicants must have a permanent London address, the right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the bursary, and must not be current students. The application, due by 8 September 2026 at 1 pm, is submitted digitally as a single PDF (max 15 MB) containing a cover sheet, a 500‑word practice statement, up to 15 images or media clips with captions, and a CV. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed in early October, with the successful artist notified the following week. The bursary aims to foster a diverse, engaged community of Hong Kong diaspora artists within Gasworks’ vibrant London‑based artistic environment.
