Sobre Esta Oportunidade

Stiwdio Maelor is a not‑for‑profit, year‑round artist residency program located in the village of Corris in North Wales, within the Snowdonia National Park. The residency welcomes visual artists, writers, musicians and other creatives of all disciplines to work on focused projects in a peaceful, inspiring rural setting. Residents are offered studio space with an attached bedroom, a communal kitchen, dining area and shared bathroom, as well as access to a print studio run by Dr Veronica Calarco. The program emphasizes process over production, encouraging experimentation and site‑specific work. Residencies typically last between one week and two months, with a flexible, rolling application cycle. Applicants pay a modest fee to cover accommodation and their own food, materials and transport; the residency itself provides housing and studio facilities. There is no application fee, and the application process requires an official form and a brief statement of intent. The residency also offers opportunities for exhibitions in the on‑site gallery, workshops, and the chance to sell work through the Maelor Stores, with a 50/50 split of proceeds between the artist and the residency. The program is open to artists of all nationalities and career stages, with no age or language restrictions.
