The Public Art School Program, run by Calgary Arts Development, invites local artists to join a roster for the 2026‑27 school year. Artists will be contacted throughout the year to deliver presentations and hands‑on workshops for students in grades 1‑12. The program aligns presentations with school curricula and offers artists professional opportunities and a chance to inspire youth about art careers. Artists retain creative control over their workshop design and are compensated according to CARFAC rates: C$541 per presentation, a C$400 preparation fee, and C$40 per hour for additional meetings. Materials for classroom participants are reimbursed up to C$200 per workshop. The call is open to artists living in the Calgary/Treaty 7 region, aged 18 or older, with professional experience in public art or community‑based practice and an interest in leading youth workshops.
