Sobre Esta Oportunidade
Small Works on Paper (SWOP) is an annual, juried, touring visual‑art exhibition organized by the Arkansas Arts Council. The program invites Arkansas‑resident visual artists aged 18 or older to submit original, on‑paper works no larger than 18‑by‑24 inches. Entries may be paintings, photography, drawing, printmaking, mixed media or collage, completed within the last two years and not reproduced or AI‑generated. The juror, chosen from outside the state, selects up to 40 pieces for a year‑long tour that will travel to up to ten venues across Arkansas, beginning in January 2027. Selected works are due to the Council by 13 Nov 2026 and will be mounted in standard frames provided by the Council. The exhibition offers a juried artist directory, purchase awards of up to $2,000, and the possibility that the Council will acquire the work for its permanent collection. Submission fees are $15 for one entry, $20 for two, or $25 for three. The deadline for entries is 23 Aug 2026, 11:59 p.m. CDT. Artists will be notified of acceptance in October 2026. The program is open to all Arkansas residents, excluding current Arkansas Arts Council advisory board members, staff of the Arkansas Department of Heritage, Parks and Tourism, or their immediate families.
