SAM Residencies, run by the Singapore Art Museum, is a fully funded studio‑based programme that supports innovative artistic and curatorial practices. Cycle 4 (2027/2028) opens on 1 August 2026 and closes on 30 September 2026, inviting applications from artists, curators, educators, researchers and creative practitioners worldwide. Applicants may be individuals, duos or collectives across all disciplines, and must be over 21 years old. Singapore‑based residents can stay up to six months, while international residents are limited to one to three months. The residency offers a shared studio or co‑working space, a monthly stipend of SGD 1,500 (plus a local allowance of SGD 250 for Singapore residents), round‑trip airfare for international residents, housing arrangements, and support from the museum’s residency team, including networking, public engagement opportunities and a scaffold for interaction and exchange. The programme runs from June 2027 to December 2028, with a focus on the thematic strands of Making/Material Cultures and Beyond Human/Interdependence.
