215ª Exposição da RI 2027

The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours (RI) seeks the best contemporary watercolour and water‑based media paintings for its 215th Annual Exhibition, to be shown at Mall Galleries, London, and online. The exhibition will feature over 400 works from artists worldwide, displayed alongside the Institute’s elected members. Submissions are open online from 12 October 2026 (12 noon) to 22 January 2027 (14:00). Artists may submit up to six works (maximum four may be selected) that were completed within the last three years, measuring no larger than 240 cm × 150 cm (including frame). Acceptable media include watercolour, water‑soluble pencils, acrylic, ink or gouache on any suitable support. The entry fee is £22 per work, reduced to £14.50 for artists aged 35 or under. Selected artists will have their work exhibited in the gallery and online, receive an invitation to the Private View, and be eligible for a range of prizes and awards totalling more than £15,000, such as the Winsor & Newton Award (£3,000 cash, materials and a residency) and the RI Young Artist Award (£1,000 plus materials). All works must be for sale, and a minimum price of £350 applies. Artists are responsible for delivery costs and must provide VAT details if required. The exhibition opens 24 March 2027 and runs until 10 April 2027, with a private view on 23 March. The call is annual, making it a recurring opportunity.
