Sobre Esta Oportunidade

The Brooklyn Arts Council (BAC) is calling for Teaching Artists (TAs) to participate in a 10‑14 week residency program that spans K‑12 schools and older adult centers throughout Brooklyn for the 2026‑2027 school year. Applicants will be matched to in‑school, after‑school, and creative aging residencies, with opportunities to teach a wide range of disciplines including dance, music, theater, visual arts, literary arts, and digital media. The program offers an hourly rate of $85 for in‑school residencies, a $6,000 fee (inclusive of travel, planning, and professional development) for Creative Aging residencies, and a $2,000 materials budget. TAs will receive professional development, access to the Arts in Education Roundtable, and travel and planning stipends. Eligibility requires experience working with K‑12 students, eligibility to work in the United States, and W2 part‑time employment status. Creative Aging applicants must have experience with older adults (60+). The call is open to artists who can teach in English and at least one additional language, and who are comfortable working with diverse student populations. Applications close on September 13, 2026, and can be submitted via the BAC Submittable portal. Additional information and FAQs are available on the BAC website.
