Rede de Artistas Neurodivergentes: Sessão de Experiência
Sobre Esta Oportunidade
The Neurodivergent Artist Network (NAN) is a new programme designed to support neurodivergent artists and creatives in the Midlands. Organised by BACKLIT Gallery and DASH, the programme runs across five sessions from September 2026 to March 2027, combining online meetings with an in‑person workshop at BACKLIT Gallery. The first session is a free taster on 3 September 2026, followed by online sessions on 5 November 2026, 3 December 2026, 7 January 2027, and 4 February 2027, with the final in‑person workshop on 6 March 2027 featuring artist Heather Peak. Participants receive advice on career development, feedback on their work, networking opportunities with other neurodivergent artists, and practical support such as BSL accommodation and support‑worker access. The full programme costs £30, while the taster is free. NAN is open to artists and creatives based in the Midlands, with a particular focus on residents of St Ann’s and Sneinton in Nottingham. The programme aims to create a supportive community, offering mentorship, creative workshops, and a platform for sharing experiences and strategies for navigating the visual arts sector.
