London Youth Folk Ensemble: Sessão experimental GRATUITA

The London Youth Folk Ensemble (LYFE) offers a free taster session on Sunday 20 September 2026 at Cecil Sharp House, London. The session is open to young people aged 11‑19 (up to 24 for D/deaf and disabled participants) who can play an instrument confidently and have experience learning tunes by ear. Attendees will meet tutors, try out ensemble playing, and be assessed for suitability to join the year‑long programme that runs from September to July, with performances across London. Successful participants receive mentorship, performance opportunities, and can earn a Bronze or Silver Arts Award. Fees for the full year are £360 (£285 concessionary) with bursary places available for those in need. The taster session is a one‑day workshop and the first step towards an annual commitment with LYFE.
