Concurso Internacional de Livros Silenciosos 2027

The International Silent Book Contest 2027 – Gianni De Conno Award is an international illustration competition devoted exclusively to new and unpublished wordless picture books. Organized and promoted by the Italian publisher Carthusia Edizioni, the contest invites illustrators of any nationality aged 18 or over to create a complete, publication‑ready picture book that tells a story solely through images. Entries must be submitted as a PDF file (up to three projects per author) and the entry fee is €60 per project. The competition is open to all illustration techniques, but AI‑generated imagery, photography, pop‑ups, comics, coloring books, unfinished layouts, and works already entered in other competitions are excluded. An international jury selects 10‑16 finalists for exhibition at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2027 and the Salone Internazionale del Libro di Torino. The main winner receives a publishing contract with Carthusia Edizioni and a €2,500 advance on royalties; a Junior Prize is also awarded with its own publication plan. The deadline for submissions is 15 January 2027.
