The London School of Muralism (LSoM), an independently run programme developed by Artmongers Action CIC, announces its 7th course running from January to May 2027 (approximately five months). The course focuses on self‑initiated, artist‑led community murals, emphasizing collaborative creation over commercial work. Participants will receive mentorship, attend twice‑weekly sessions at Goldsmiths Deptford Town Hall in New Cross, and develop their own participatory mural projects, culminating in a large‑scale mural led by LSoM and founder Patricio Forrester. The programme includes three terms covering introduction to participatory muralism, student‑led mural development, and a practical apprenticeship with projects at HMP Downview Women’s Prison and Upper Marsh Tunnel. Twelve fee‑paying places are available with two tuition rates (£2,100 full fee, £1,250 concessionary) and four fully funded scholarships for Black artists and women with justice‑system experience. Applicants must submit a CV, six images of their work, and a 500‑word statement answering specific questions. The deadline for applications is 23 October 2026.
