The Potential Pool for Composers and Songwriters is a recurring grant program run by Koda Kultur, Denmark’s music rights organization. It targets composers and songwriters who are in the early or restarting stages of their careers, regardless of nationality or membership status. Applicants can receive a work grant— a financial subsidy to immerse themselves in writing or composing new music— or an education grant to cover mentorship, courses, private lessons, and other developmental activities. The program supports projects that result in new, original works and may include production, exhibition, or PR products. Applicants must submit a project description, a personal statement explaining their start‑up phase, and at least two audio files of their own compositions. For mentorship or private tuition, a mentor’s CV and confirmation are required. Grants range from DKK 5,000 to DKK 25,000, with a maximum of three grants per applicant. The next application deadline is February 11 2027 at 3 PM. Applications are processed by a distribution committee, and decisions are communicated approximately three months after the deadline.
