The Head of Creative Arts at Strauss Preparatory School Abuja is a senior leadership position within a specialist creative arts academy. The role involves setting the artistic and educational vision for the school’s music and complementary disciplines, designing internationally benchmarked curricula, and overseeing the delivery of high‑quality teaching and performance programmes. Responsibilities include recruiting, mentoring and supervising tutors, coordinating teaching timetables, managing departmental budgets and facilities, and leading concerts, recitals, productions and outreach initiatives. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, Performing Arts or a related field, a recognised teaching qualification or equivalent professional experience, at least five years of teaching experience, and proven leadership experience in a music school or similar institution. Candidates must demonstrate high musical proficiency and a strong knowledge of performance, musicianship and music theory.
