Convite à Inscrição do Getxophoto 2027 – “Maré”

Getxophoto International Image Festival invites visual artists, photographers and creators of image‑based practices from around the world to submit proposals for its 2027 edition, themed “Tide”. The festival will take place from 27 May to 20 June 2027 in Getxo, Basque Country, Spain. Applicants may propose photography, video, installations, digital art, performance or other visual works that engage with the idea of movement, circulation and collective memory. A jury of international curators will select 12 finalists and three winners, whose projects will be produced and presented as exhibitions or installations during the festival. Winners receive a €500 artist fee, production costs covered, two nights of accommodation during the opening week, up to €150 travel support, and media coverage. The call is open to artists of any career stage and nationality; submissions are accepted in English or Spanish via the Picter platform. The deadline for applications is 3 November 2026 (23:59 CET).
