Artistas esquecidos: uma homenagem ao passado

Forgotten Artists: Homage to the Past is a research‑driven group exhibition hosted by the Yavapai College Prescott Art Gallery. Artists are invited to select a “forgotten” figure from the 1700s–1970s, research their legacy, and produce new work that engages with that history. The exhibition will run from July 28 to August 24, 2027, and will feature a wide range of media—including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, and installation. Participants must submit a concise written statement (50–100 words) outlining the chosen artist, contextualizing their work, and explaining how the research informed their own practice. The call is open to professional artists, individuals or collaborative teams, and designers with public‑art experience; applicants must be able to attend installation. The exhibition offers studio space, a research and educational component, and the opportunity to display work in a respected community‑based venue.
