The Bennett Prize is a biennial stipend‑grant program administered by the Muskegon Museum of Art to support women figurative realist painters. Round 5 offers a first‑place prize of $75,000 paid over two consecutive years ($37,500 per year) and a runner‑up award of $10,000. Ten finalists will be selected to travel in a group exhibition that opens at the Muskegon Museum of Art (May 20 – Aug 22 2027) and then tours additional venues. Winners receive a solo exhibition at the museum in May 2029. Applicants must submit 3–5 paintings plus one detail image (4–6 images total) through the CaFÉ platform, pay a $50 entry fee, and meet eligibility criteria focused on gender, age, U.S. residence, and recent painting practice. The prize includes travel and lodging for finalists, shipping of artworks, insurance, catalogue inclusion, and a commission structure for any sales. The deadline for entry is 11:59 p.m. MDT on September 19, 2026.
