The LexArts Community Arts Development (CAD) Project Grant for Individual Artists supports creators to develop and present projects with an arts or cultural focus that take place in Fayette County, Kentucky. Eligible project types include festivals, exhibitions, readings, performances, public art installations, and planning for cultural public spaces. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, reside in Fayette County, and comply with any prior LexArts grant reporting requirements. Grants range from $500 to $5,000 and are awarded for the calendar year 2027 (January 1 – December 31). Applications open on Friday, July 3 2026 and close on Friday, August 7 2026 at 11:59 pm. The review process includes eligibility screening, a public panel review (August 24 2026), and final approval by the LexArts Board. No application fee is required. The grant provides direct project funding but does not cover general operating costs, capital equipment, or hospitality.
