Sobre Esta Oportunidade

In 2023 the Stedelijk Museum launched Buro Stedelijk, an independent project space inside the museum that tests new creative ideas and futures. The institution is now recruiting a Curator Buro Stedelijk for a 32‑hour‑per‑week position based in Amsterdam. The role involves developing concepts for exhibitions, debates, symposia, lectures and other activities, staying abreast of contemporary art practices, and initiating collaborative projects with artists and partners. The curator will report to the museum director, work closely with a Buro Stedelijk project manager, and be supported by an advisory board comprising representatives from De Ateliers, the Rijksakademie, the Stedelijk Museum and an independent member. The appointment is initially for 1.5 years with the possibility of a further 1.5‑year extension. Salary is set between €4,131 and €5,516 per month (full‑time equivalent, scale 11 Museum CAO), excluding holiday allowance and year‑end bonus. The position provides access to two Buro Stedelijk spaces – a 200 m² Central exhibition space and a Studio Space that can serve as an office or project venue. Applicants must submit a résumé and cover letter by 12 October 2026; applications sent by e‑mail will not be considered. The museum encourages candidates with strong cultural credentials, alumni of leading curatorial programmes, and those who bring diverse, socially engaged perspectives.
