REMEDY Photo Festival, in partnership with Lincoln Museum & Usher Gallery, is calling for photographers and artists working with photography to propose a new body of work that interrogates health, care, wellbeing, and lived experience. The selected artist will receive a £5,000 commission—£3,500 as an artist fee and £1,500 for production costs—to develop and exhibit their work as part of the 2027 festival at a venue in Lincolnshire. Applicants are encouraged to move beyond documentation, challenging existing narratives and creating new perspectives on health and care. Proposals may explore themes such as illness, disability, care relationships, identity, resilience, and community. The commission supports research, engagement, and collaboration with individuals or communities, and offers curatorial support, marketing, audience development, and opportunities for public engagement. Applications are open from July 2026, with a deadline of 30 September 2026. Selected artists will be notified in October, and the research and development period runs from November 2026 to May 2027, culminating in a spring 2027 exhibition.
