Aviário Studio Art Residency aims to promote exploration and production in the Visual Arts. Artists can develop projects using a medium or a combination of technologies. Aviário Studio is an artist-run space with workshops equipped to develop projects on Printmaking, Ceramics, Wood, Metal, Sculpture, Installation, Drawing, Painting, Photography and Bookbinding.
Your residency is customized according to the duration you wish to stay, your artistic and aesthetic focus, and the outcomes you wish to achieve. Here, you can test what’s possible. And translate ideas into reality. Your stay can be a time of transition, working with experimentation, research, and new techniques. Or, your residency could be a time of realization, creating the physical outputs of your artistic process.
Aviário Studio is an artist-run creative playground and art residency in central Portugal offering space and technical support for artists to develop projects in various disciplines like printmaking, ceramics, metal, wood, sculpture, and more. The program focuses on exploration and production, with customized durations from two weeks to six months and optional accommodations available. Artists can utilize equipped workshops, receive technical assistance, and can also contribute to the local community through workshops or exhibitions
