Sobre Esta Oportunidade
Est‑Nord‑Est (ENE), an artist‑run centre located in Saint‑Jean‑Port‑Joli on the St. Lawrence River in Québec, Canada, is accepting applications for its 2027‑2028 residency programme. The programme comprises four eight‑week residencies per year – Spring (19 April–11 June 2027), Summer (5 July–27 August 2027), Fall (27 September–19 November 2027) and Winter (24 January–18 March 2028). Each season hosts four artists who receive a CAD 2,080 honorarium and an individual studio‑workshop that serves both as a workspace and lodging. Residents also have access to wood, metal and ceramics equipment, a documentation centre, and technical and logistical support. Travel, materials and living costs are the responsibility of the artist. The Summer residency is curated under the theme “Corps céleste, corps terrestre” and gives priority to artists of African descent, though all professional visual artists worldwide may apply. Applications are submitted online via the centre’s website and must include accessible video documentation. The deadline for all seasons is 8 November 2026.
