CHAMADA ABERTA – Programa de Residência 2026 (II)
TANZ | MODERNE | TANZ
Sobre Esta Oportunidade
The TANZ | MODERNE | TANZ Residency Programme 2026 invites professional choreographers, dance artists, artistic teams, and companies based in Germany and internationally to apply for a three‑week stay in Chemnitz. The residency focuses on artistic research, choreographic development, and international exchange, with the main aim of advancing an artistic question or project rather than producing a finished work. Selected artists will have free access to a suitable rehearsal space, a one‑time residency fee of €2,400 for the choreographer/project lead and €2,250 for each additional artist (up to three), and full coverage of travel and accommodation costs for the lead and up to three additional artists. Additional support includes organizational and dramaturgical assistance, connections with local partners, communication and documentation services, and the possibility of a public sharing, workshop, or discussion format. The residency may culminate in a presentation at the TANZ | MODERN | DANCE Festival 2027. Applicants must be professional choreographers or dance artists with experience presenting their own work, and may submit individual, team, or company applications. The application deadline is 15 September 2026, with decisions communicated by the end of September 2026.
