Sobre Esta Oportunidade
The Studio for Electroacoustic Music, housed in the Akademie der Künste building on Hanseatenweg in Berlin, runs a residency programme that supports independent artists developing projects at the intersection of sound, music and technology. Each residency lasts up to two weeks and is awarded to eight to ten recipients per cycle. Residents gain access to two fully equipped studios, a recording room, historic electronic instruments such as the Subharcord II and the Hermann Scherchen rotating loudspeaker sphere, as well as professional analogue and digital equipment for multichannel production. The programme is open to individual or group projects across a broad range of practices, including instrumental and electronic works, acoustics, computer music, radio art, curatorial or educational initiatives, and research projects in acoustics or software development. While accommodation is not provided, travel and accommodation expenses may be reimbursed on a case‑by‑case basis. Applications are submitted through an online form, with two application windows per year: 1 April – 30 June (deadline 31 January) and 1 September – 30 November (deadline 30 June). The residency is free to apply and does not include a stipend, focusing instead on studio access, technical support, and possible reimbursement of expenses.
