21º Concurso Internacional de Jazz de Bucareste 2027

The 21st edition of the Bucharest International Jazz Competition, organised by jmEvents, will take place from 2 to 10 July 2027. The competition invites instrumentalists and vocalists of all nationalities, with an age limit of 45 years (born after 1 July 1982). Bands may consist of up to six musicians. Participants must submit a digital application, including a 2–3 piece repertoire, audio recordings, photos, bank confirmation of the 140 Euro registration fee, and other required documents via TransferNow to office@jmevents.ro. The registration fee is non‑refundable except for applicants whose complete application is rejected in the semi‑final round. The competition offers a total prize pool of 10 000 Euro, distributed as 1 500 Euro for the Grand Prize Winner, 500 Euro for Best Band, 500 Euro for Best Vocalist, 250 Euro for Best Jam Session, and concert engagements for finalists. Semi‑finalists receive discounted accommodation, while finalists receive free accommodation and a stipend for the final period. Winners receive diplomas and may be featured in future jmEvents programmes. The event will be broadcast by Romanian and international broadcasters, and participants consent to recording and transmission of their performances.
